My suggestions

Shops (there's only one and it's basically useless)
Spirit shields (divine and elysian) HAVE to work in PvM , it would fill the server in a few days.
Training spots?I had to go to GwD to get my melee stats up...Got mage up on corp xD (has ::train,didn't know,sorry)
Pking spots like Mage Bank or Ardougne Lever ( if the server doesn't have them already, not sure)
Never EVER add custom items.

Nothing cool about customs.They should be wiped from the rsps.

Might as well but everyone has there opinion I don't agree.. Expect with the level 50 and the ak-47 I lol'ed at that.

verb u made me lol in real life.. and with amazing coders they could make some customs more for like show and now for pking.. like u can train skills with them just not pk with them. or have speacil pk zones for customs if u feel so strong agents it...
customs= uniqueness to a server for having some legit things that others most likely wont, make u look cooler, maybe alittle better dameg then most things.. just abunch of cool things cann come from customs

They're not cool and fuck me if I'm playing a server with any.Period.It's a matter of taste but the server should stick to originality rather than screwed up customs.

I have to agree to some points of Verbatim customs are bugged and it's hell hard to fix theyr bugs and they may cause critical glitching, but it depends on logan or sam to do it.

You should be concerning on having everything fixed and 100% working on the server rather than customs.Private servers are not perfect and instead of working on the bugs,coders turned they're heads to customized items.And I mean ALL coders,not only the ones of eventscape.

Think of a 562 server like a new born baby,full of bugs and glitches you have to fix,you have to teach him right and how to be a good person.Now the point is that the server needs to be fully fixed and you have to get bored of it until customs should be added.
